Finding A New Name Poll............ |

What's in name he said?............peanuts and lollies said the boy upstairs!
Our quest for this poll is to validate a new name for Mcscsdrk of the Khaz Modan Realm in the land of Azeroth.
Sandy has strong views on this matter and really believes that "Benny from the Bronx" is the ideal name.
Have your say and vote for one of the selections you think is more appropriate.

Rakh'likh the Defiler quest........... |

 ********KHAZ MODAN REALM********
We are trying to organise a party to do this quest in the Blasted Lands -
[60+] You are Rakh'likh, Demon
Destroy Razelikh the Defiler and return the Severed Horn of the Defiler to the Fallen Hero of the Horde. You will also need to return the Ward of the Defiler so that the Fallen Hero can destroy it, preventing it from ever falling into the wrong hands.
Razelikh's lair is atop the highest mountain in the Blasted Lands. The only way to the lair is through the use of the teleport runes near the mountain. As long as you hold the amulet, you can freely transport up to the lair. Once you reach the lair, you must conjure the beast. The amulet is your key. Use it on the Altar of the Defiler.
Should you defeat the Defiler, bring back his horn. It will become a symbol of hope for all that view it - proof that heroes do exist in this war torn world.
We will need a couple of Healers, a Warlock to summon the group to the top of the mountain and others to deal brute killing power upon this damn beast!
Please post your availability together with times etc when you would be able to do the quest. |

TS Server IP - 203.173.26.161 |

Please be advised that the Teamspeak Server was taken down for maintenance and consequentially the IP address has changed.
New IP = 203.173.26.161
The APS National Public Server updates its IP Address when maintenance and updates are done. Please use the Webserver List to find it rather than rely upon the last known IP in your Local Addressbook.
Select CONNECTION/CONNECT/WEB SERVER LIST from the top menu to access this function then select CHANGE FILTER at the bottom right.
The Country Filter should be set to Oceania/Australia for this search to list Australian servers. The Country Filter button is located center right on the Server List Filter menu. All other settings on this particular menu should be set at SHOW ALL. |

Woodside Strikes Gas with Hurricane-1 |
| Posted by Group Administrator - 01-30-05 10:25 - 0 comments |
 |
Woodside Energy reports that the Hurricane-1 exploration well in the Eastern Dampier Sub-basin offshore Australia reached a total depth of 3,140 meters on January 19, 2005.
The Ensco 56 jackup is drilling the well. The well is located 8.5 kilometers northwest of the Legendre oil field facilities. Water depth at the location is 58 meters.
The current operation is running wireline logs. Preliminary log interpretation indicates that Hurricane-1 has penetrated a gross gas column of 76 meters in sandstones of the primary objective. No gas-water contact was intersected in the sandstones. It is too early to comment on the significance of this discovery until further evaluation is conducted.
Joint venture participants in WA-208-P are Woodside Energy Ltd. (34.03%), Santos Group (31.31%; Operator), ENI Australia Ltd (18.66%), Beach Petroleum (10.00%), Mosaic Oil NL (6.00%). |

NVIDIA - SLI |
| Posted by Group Administrator - 01-30-05 09:34 - 0 comments |
 |
Nvidia is upping the ante significantly with SLI. The performance crown in the current generation of products is muddy at best but with SLI there leaves little doubt as to who will hold the bragging rights of fastest video solution.
There will also be some pressure on Nvidia's partners who are selling expensive enthusiast Ultra cards. With a relatively inexpensive (comparatively) dual GT solution, there will be nearly 50% more performance for roughly the same price. The biggest question is will ATI have anything to counter this unexpected curveball from Nvidia or will they have to rely on Alienware as a 3rd party solution? One cannot imagine that SLI was a whim developed in a short time and if ATI did not foresee this coming they could possibly be looking up a big hill to climb before catching up to Nvidia in terms of raw speed. The landscape of 3D graphics has once again been changed significantly today. We will see what to make of today's news in a couple years. |

MegaCITY - Denver Microsoft FS 2004 |
| Posted by Group Administrator - 01-30-05 08:03 - 0 comments |

PC Aviator Announces MegaCITY Denver For Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004 Now Fly Denver – The “Mile High City” At High Resolution With FS2004
Created from 1 foot per pixel aerial photos, MegaCITY recreates 3,600 square miles of the city of Denver and surrounding areas for realistic VFR flying in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004. Flight Sim pilots will be able to soar the skies above and explore the entire Denver metropolis including parts of the Rocky Mountains to the west in true-to-life detail.
At 5,200 feet Denver is the "Mile High City". When flying VFR in a light single, you're already challenged as your take off and landing performance is reduced due to the altitude. Add to that the real cityscape beneath you and the Rocky Mountains to the west and you've got yourself the challenge of Denver - a real Denver – to enjoy and explore in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004.
MegaCITY Denver will commence shipping in the first week of March, 2005 on CD-ROM and will be priced at AUD$29.95.
More information, including the recently released screenshots, and an opportunity to preorder direct, is available for viewing at the MegaScenery website at MegaScenery.com
MegaCITY USA 2005 is created by Aerosoft Australia Pty Ltd, developers of MegaScenery. As a result, MegaCITY will have all of the advanced and unique features delivered in their MegaScenery titles including Night Scenery, high resolution underlying mesh terrain, Winter Snow Scenery (where appropriate), real water bodies and relocation and realignment of default Flight Simulator objects. |
